Urban Light Ministries

This year, SGA is donating $1 from every ticket sold to Urban Light Ministries in Springifled. How could we turn the DMC into a city full of celebration and light, but turn a blind eye to our neighboring city of Springfield that is still so full of oppression and darkness?

Urban Light Ministries left no stone unturned in their quest to serve the residents of Springfield. They not only gather as a church on Sundays, but they live out what it means to be the church during the rest of the week. Urban Light understands the need for holistic ministry—you cannot choose to focus solely on the spiritual needs of people, and ignore their physical necessities. Urban Light is consistently being Jesus to the people of Springfield by providing for both. Their ministries include Sonshine club and SALT for children and youth, "Basic Training" for men, and free medical services. Free meals and the salvation message are shared every Sunday, and Urban Light also maintains a food pantry and SOS shelter.
